As a way to promote entrepreneurship, Cummings Properties will again help sponsor business plan competitions hosted by MIT Enterprise Forum, Tufts University, Northeastern University, Boston University, Babson College, and Harvard Biotechnology Club. Many previous competition winners are now among the area’s leading emerging technology firms. CPL will present this year’s winners with Cummings Properties Awards totaling more than $300,000 in commercial space rent credits.

The Weight is Almost Over
A branch of the established Beverly Athletic Club is opening at Cummings Center, just in time to get into "summer shape!" The facility is now under construction at 600 Cummings Center in the former location of the North Shore Athletic Club. Clients are "pumped up" in anticipation of the athletic club joining the substantial roster of amenities at Cummings Center.

A Banner Day
The largest marketing pieces produced to date by the Cummings Graphics Department have arrived! These Texas-sized "Lease Now" banners measure 10 feet by 29 feet and are mounted on the exterior of the TradeCenter 128 drum and drive-thru annex. The banners are made from a durable vinyl mesh material allowing patrons in the suites behind the banner to see through them.

Leasing On-line
Can leasing space get any easier than Cummings Properties one-sheet lease? Associate property manager Tom Maregni thinks so! A client of Tom's at 38 Montvale Avenue in Stoneham wanted to expand to an adjacent vacant office. In a series of five brief emails over a short two-hour period, Tom and the client agreed on the terms and legally memorialized the deal! Doing the Moonwalk
All of the anti-gravity, none of the space travel! New TradeCenter 128 client, The Sports Spa, now features the Alter-G antigravity treadmill which was designed by NASA engineers and is reportedly capable of unloading up to 80 percent of a user’s body weight. It is the only treadmill of its kind in Massachusetts. It’s one small step for man, one giant step for The Sports Spa!

Wild Kingdom
The natural surroundings at 144 North Road in Sudbury got a little wilder with the arrival of a rafter of wild turkey. The beautiful views of the Sudbury River basin are further enhanced by occaisional glimpses of wild turkey, deer, and other wildlife. LEED compliant construction helps protect the environment. The first tenant of this recently completed building will move in this February.
