Biotech's Top Choice


Move over Cambridge and Boston - Woburn is the next premiere destination for Biotech firms! The Massachusetts Biotechnology Council designated Woburn as a "Platinum Community."  The distinction places Woburn in a leading economic role as a municipality working to increasingly adopt local policies that greatly ease the pathway for renovation and new construction of biotech laboratories and manufacturing facilities.


Leading the way in Woburn is Cummings Properties, which leases more than 2 million square feet to Biotech and Life Science firms.

Gov. Patrick welcomes Biocell Center to Cummings

Biocell Center, a European biotechnology company that is reportedly the only firm in the world to harvest and preserve amniotic stem cells, opened its North American headquarters and laboratory at Cummings Properties' 200 Boston Avenue in Medford, Massachusetts on October 22, 2009. The grand opening was attended by Govenor Deval Patrick. Read More
